I-Berhad records higher net profit in 2014

KUALA LUMPUR: I-Berhad, developer of i-City in Shah Alam, Selangor said its net profit for the fourth quarter ended December 31, 2014 fell 53 per cent to RM13.66 million from RM29.57 million a year ago.
 
This is despite revenue rising by 22.4 per cent to RM68.16 million from RM55.66 million a year earlier.
 
Earnings per share stood at 1.38 sen against 6.15 sen the same period last year.
 
For its full year, however, net profit was higher by 21.5 per cent to record RM53.41 million from RM43.96 million a year ago while revenue rose 71 per cent to RM261.11 million from RM152.14 million a year earlier.
 
I-Berhad said in a statement that there were better earnings from its property development division driven by higher percentage of recognition for both the project completion and sales for i-Residence, i-SOHO, i-Suites and the newly launched Liberty Tower.
